TOWN STAFF REPORT RECOMMENDATIONS
title
Discuss, consider and act to adopt Ordinance 1014, Amending the Water and Sewer Rates (Cayce Lay Lamas, Finance Director)
body
STAFF: Finance Director Cayce Lay Lamas
BACKGROUND:
The Town of Westlake periodically updates its water and sewer rates to ensure financial sustainability of its infrastructure and cost to provide services. These updates are typically made at the same time as the Master Fee Schedule for consistency purposes. This update does not change the base or usage fees on which monthly utility bills are calculated and will not impact current utility customers. The only changes are to commercial water meter deposits (now matches residential) and minimum service tap fees. These changes go into effect on January 1, 2025.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The fiscal impact will be minimal and fees collected are expected to offset some of the expenses incurred by the Town.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of Ordinance 1014 Amending the Water and Sewer Rates
