body

STAFF: Amy M. Piukana, Town Secretary

BACKGROUND:

Annually, the Town Council reviews and approves a meeting calendar for the upcoming year. The proposed 2024 meeting calendar considers several factors in preparing for the 2024 meetings, including national holidays, school holidays, school graduation, the May election, and the canvass, and setting the tax rate for adoption of the annual budget. Note, the month of January, March, May, November, and December only have one regular meeting set to allow holiday travel with no meeting in July. A special called meeting may take place during those months, if necessary. Once the final calendar is approved, the calendar is shared with developers to utilize for plan submittals and to residents.

Meetings typically start with a work session at 4 p.m. prior to the 5 p.m. regular meeting.

DISCUSSION:

The Town Council may review the dates and amend the calendar, as deemed necessary.
