BACKGROUND:

The Town of Westlake is most fortunate to have Kelly Clements as a member of the Town of  Westlake Fire-EMS Department team.

Deputy Fire Chief/Fire Marshal Kelly Clements has served in public safety for over 30 years. He started his career with the Dallas Fire Department, and crafted his role as a Fire Inspector for 6 years, while also serving on Dallas Police raid team. During that time, he also served as the Deputy Constable-Reserve for Ellis County. In 2000, Deputy Chief Clements moved to Southlake’s Department of Public Safety, where over the next 24 years, he utilized his wide array of skills as a Police Officer, Firefighter/Paramedic, Arson Investigator, and Fire Inspector. In 2015, he was promoted to Deputy Fire Chief - Fire Marshal in Southlake Fire Services. In February 2024, Deputy Chief Clements retired from Southlake Fire Department and joined Westlake Fire-EMS Department. Deputy Chief Clements has a BA in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Stephen F. Austin and a MA in Mediation from Southern Methodist University. He is also highly credentialed, holding certifications for TCOLE Master Certified Police Officer, Master Firefighter, Master Arson Investigator, Licensed Paramedic, Fire Inspector, Plans Examiner, and certified Fire Marshal.

Light refreshments in honor of Deputy Chief/Fire Marshal Kelly Clements will be available after the ceremony in the lounge across from the Council Chamber.
