BACKGROUND:
This TIPS Cooperative vehicle purchasing agreement with Silsbee Ford will allow Public Works staff to purchase a vehicle needed to haul heavy items and materials to and from job sites for typical infrastructure maintenance. The flatbed truck replaces the need to rent or purchase a small dump truck in the future. This purchase continues the effort of Public Works to provide the annual maintenance required of our infrastructure. The replacement or repairs of major lines or equipment will continue to be outsourced reducing the Town's need to purchase equipment like dump trucks and large excavators.
